Culture strategist. Creative communicator. Program designer. Brand strategist. DEI leader. Adult educator. Corporate Citizenship strategist. Nonprofit founder. Public speaker.
I’m Becky,
a cross-disciplinary leader with a background in people & culture, marketing, corporate citizenship, DEI, nonprofit leadership, community organizing, adult education, and horse+human development.
Because of that diverse background, I’m able to design novel approaches to help organizations evolve.
I’m problem-led, meaning I’m a curious explorer of the root-cause. My exploration is systems-centered, meaning I untangle the interconnected web of issues we’ve designed over time.
And I seek right-now questions and solve right-now problems, while reaching for out-there opportunities that urge organizations toward a triple bottom line vision that deepens colleague, customer, and community engagement.
I believe the key to this work is Organizational Authenticity.
I know, because I’m a values-driven, mission-minded millennial who’s been a customer, an employee – and an executive leader inside organizations with confusion-causing misalignments and detachment from values-motivated conversations that move beyond money. I’ve experienced the organizational tensions blocking our collective progress inside organizations — and I know how to fix them.
“Becky has this magical ability to bring a heartbeat into an organisation. She tilts the scales from one being focused on profit, to one that is balanced with purpose.”
I’ve served as the Chief People and Culture Officer for a fast-growth custom merchandise software company that powers giving to non-profit and grassroots social impact campaigns. I was the Global Head of DEI and Corporate Citizenship for the world’s leading logistics and freight forwarding company, building programs and policies for more than 80,000 employees across 110 countries. I’ve led creative communications and marketing for large enterprise and small business – and consulted for Fortune 500s and public sector groups. My award-winning nonprofit, The Giving Wall, facilitates citizen-to-citizen support, and has received grants from some of Virginia’s leading philanthropic organizations. I consult on sustainability initiatives for the City of Richmond, Virginia. And proudly hold a Sustainability Certificate from Arizona State University, a M.S. in Community Integrative Nutrition, a B.A. in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University, and I’m a trainer of wild mustangs, re-homed from the sagebrush grasslands of the American West.
And I’m a mom of two extraordinary people bravely navigating life’s beginnings.
“Becky has - more than anyone else - influenced a belief that doing good for your customers and doing good for the planet are business and moral imperatives. Becky is an organizational culture builder, a patient teacher, and natural born leader.”
