My professional life has been lived at the intersection of creative communications, human resources, and nonprofits. Across those disciplines I’ve honed skills in employee experience, adult education, persuasive storytelling, strategic communications, and community engagement. And at every turn, I’ve used those skills to create momentum toward positive change — in my city, state, and within companies.
I’m an adjunct professor of storytelling and communications at Arizona State University within their School of Sustainability, where I teach post-graduate students the fundamentals of effective communication, in the context of effecting change.
I lead The Giving Foundation. A nonprofit that supports neighbors in financial crises through The Giving Wall (1), other nonprofits through The Giving Workplace where I consult on topics of employee experience, (2), and the community through a monthly forum known as Many Hands (3).
I’m also an elected Director for the Henricopolis Soil & Water Conservation District in Henrico, Virginia where I make progress toward my vision of intergenerational, inclusive wellbeing.

I've been many things in my professional life, but above all, I'm a student of story. I see narrative as a fundamental and unique human gift, one that connects us to ourselves, to each other, and to our moment. It is the key to navigating complexity, and the domain where the development of self and tribe can happen.
I've been a global executive for a Fortune 500, twice a start-up founder with successful exits, and a professor at City University of New York. From academia to publishing to consulting to logistics, wherever I go, my work changes form while keeping function: I'm here to help organizations reimagine work through the wisdom of the natural world and timeless narrative practices.
My practice draws on decades of experience in organizational development, leadership strategy, and behavioral science, shaping cultures of trust, clarity, and shared purpose across global enterprises and mission-driven organizations. Whether I'm coaching executives, facilitating retreats on regenerative land, or guiding system-wide change, I imagine leaders with more imagination, more integrity, and a deeper connection to what sustains us.
