Field Days: Team Like a Herd

  • 2231 Kingsland Road Henrico, VA, 23231 United States (map)

An immersive experience that uncovers what wild horses can teach us about teaming, cooperating, and thriving in uncertainty.

Horses respond to presence not performance, to energy not authority, to trust not titles. Which makes them extraordinary mirrors, showing us how humans function together extraordinary pressure.

Through eye-to-eye experiences with American mustangs, guided reflection, and facilitated conversation, participants will explore:

  • how herd trust enables speedy decision-making and rapid coordination

  • how bands manage stress and threat together

  • how shared leadership creates collective well-being

Wild horses are one of a handful of species to survive the Ice Age and thrive beyond it, adapting in remarkable ways despite long odds. They have a thing or two to teach us.

No previous horse experience is required. And no riding is involved.
